The proposed amendments would delineate wild turkeys from big game due to changes in the statutory status of wild turkeys as well as create a preference point system for limited wild turkey seasons. In addition, the proposed amendments would allow for the purchase of a preference point in a given year in lieu of applying for a limited deer, antelope or wild turkey permit.
