These borrow/sand pits are adjacent to the Republican River. The north pit provides 1 acre of surface water with a maximum depth of 12 feet. The south pit provides 2 acres of surface water with a maximum depth of 8 feet. These pits are full most of the time, they fluctuate very little due to their proximity to the river.
