Species Rating Size Baits, Method & Location
Channel Catfish Good up to 22 inches Nightcrawlers or stink bait on windy shorelines.  Worms in the upper end during inflows.
Crappie Fair up to 12 inch

20/day creel limit  

Jigs or minnows on brush in 8 to 15 ft of water.

Largemouth bass Fair 11 to 17 inches

13 inch to 18 inch slot limit 5 fish per day creel limit.

Jigs or plastics on rocky shorelines, points, and ledges in 5 to 9ft of water.

Saugeye     Few reports this week.
Bluegill Fair up to 8 inch Small hooks and live bait/worms fished near rocks, piers, or brush.
White Bass & Wipers Fair up to 22 inch Shad imitating baits during surface feeding activity.
General Comments
Boat and bait inspections are MANDATORY at Marion County Lake to prevent the spread of Zebra Mussels and other Aquatic Nuisance Species. Protect our waters... don't forget to CLEAN, DRAIN, and DRY!
