Council Grove Waterfowl Report - Updated: 10/21/25

Waterfowl numbers Some early migrants beginning to arrive.  Primarily gadwall and redhead.  Duck numbers still low on most days.                                                   
Water levels 0.1 feet below conservation elevation (1,274') on 10/21/25.    
Hunting conditions The lake remained full through August.  Moist soil plants are absent along lake fringes.  As such, few food resources will be available for waterfowl within lake environments.
