Fishing Application and Fees
Fishing Licenses may be purchased online, from all our licensed agents, any Kansas Department Wildlife and Parks office or call 1-833-587-2164.
Fishing Licenses: All Kansas resident anglers age 16 through 74 must have a resident fishing license unless exempt by Kansas Law. Nonresident anglers age 16 and older , must have a nonresident fishing license (unless fishing on a private pond not leased for public fishing). All licenses can be purchased online by clicking here or through all licensed agents, or Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks offices, or by calling 1-833-587-2164. Most licenses expire 365 days from the date of purchase, except for multi-year, five-day, lifetime, and one-day fishing licenses.
Kansas residents age 65 - 74 are required to have a hunting and/or fishing license. A half price annual fishing, annual hunting, or combination annual license is available for purchase. (see list below for fees)
Kansas residents 75 years of age or older are not required to purchase a hunting and/or fishing license. All other permits, tags, stamps, and other fee requirements apply.
Multi-Year Youth Licenses: A youth license is available for residents age 16-20. The one-time purchase, fishing license is $42.50, multi-year hunting/fishing combination license is $72.50. This multi-year license expires on Dec. 31 of the year the person turns 21.

- Nonresident Fishing: $77.50
- Nonresident Combination Fish & Hunt: $192.50

- Nonresident 1-Day Fishing: $12.50

- KS Disabled Veterans: Free hunting and fishing licenses are made available and issued based on funding. Applicant must provide a copy of current disabled veterans entitlement papers showing proof of at least 30% disability.
