 Use a jig or minnow on brush piles and rocky shorelines. The water temperature is in the mid 50's. Crappie won't move to shallow water to spawn until it's in the low 60's.

 Use a jig, spinner, or imitation shad on channel breaks and deep holes in river. Watch for water inflow to trigger spawn in riffles.
